US President Donald Trump will travel to California on Monday, where he will be briefed on the situation in the US west coast state facing deadly fires, executive spokesman Judd Deere said.

More than 1.2 million hectares have already gone up in smoke this year in California, a record.
Dozens of fires have ravaged the US West Coast for days, including Washington and Oregon, and have killed at least 16 people.
