Another agreement between Israel and an Arab state

Less than a month after announcing that the UAE will sign a normalization agreement with Israel, US President Donald Trump announced yesterday (Friday) that another country will sign a similar agreement with Israel - this time in Bahrain.

In a tweet on his Twitter account, Trump wrote that this is another historic breakthrough: "Our two great friends have reached a peace agreement. This is the second Arab state to make peace with Israel within thirty days."

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to the declaration by saying that "it took us 26 years to reach the second peace agreement with an Arab state for a third peace agreement, and it took us 29 days to reach a peace agreement between the third Arab state and the fourth Arab state, and there will be more."

Since the news was published, Foreign Ministry officials said that work on opening an Israeli embassy in the country had already begun and that attempts were being made to open it as soon as possible.

Iran, Turkey and the Palestinian Authority have expressed opposition to the agreement - with the latter even describing it as a "betrayal".

The closure will begin on Friday - not Tuesday

The Ministry of Health will tomorrow bring to the government's approval an outline for the closure, which is expected to begin on Friday at 6:00 and not on Tuesday as originally planned.

According to the outline, traffic up to 500 meters from the place of residence (in Phase A), the education system will move to distance learning as early as Wednesday and all businesses will be closed except for essential businesses.

In addition, there will be a limit of up to 10 who can pray in an open area or up to 10 people in groups in a closed structure, the restaurants will work in the form of deliveries and collection only and the presence of employees in businesses will not exceed 10 or 30%, whichever is higher.

Public transportation will be reduced depending on the disease state.

The rate of positive tests out of all the tests yesterday stands at 11%.

Chinese team player Guangzhou R&F is having a private party at his home.

The policemen who arrived at the scene handcuffed and arrested the actor, who refused to accompany the policemen voluntarily.

Nine women were arrested today in Belarus during a women's march attended by thousands of Minsk residents as part of their struggle for freedom and democracy in the country.

According to testimony from the scene, large regime forces attacked the marchers, beat them and took some of them into custody.

A local news site affiliated with the opposition in the country has uploaded videos showing drivers intentionally stopping their vehicle to allow marchers to march.

The Iranian wrestler who was executed

Iranian wrestler Nabir Apkari, 28, who was charged with killing a police officer during a demonstration in 2018, was executed this morning at Adlabad prison in Shiraz.

According to letters he sent from prison, his confession to killing the policeman was taken out of him following severe torture he underwent.

The execution took place despite many in the world trying to help the wrestler, including US President Trump.

Two of Apkari's brothers were also arrested as part of a protest in which their brother was arrested, but they were sentenced to 54 and 27 years in prison.

"The international community must intervene quickly and demand that the regime in Iran disclose its fate," Amnesty International warned before learning of his death.
