Parents were advised to leave their children at home for this period, said a palace spokesman.

The classmate was probably infected with the corona virus in private.

Leonor himself will now have a corona test done while her parents King Felipe and Queen Letizia continue to carry out their official duties for the time being, reports bild.de.

Corona in Spain: Madrid as the epicenter - alarming numbers

The country hit a new high with 12,183 new infections on Friday, according to the Johns Hopkins Institute.

According to the dpa, the number consisted of new infections and late reports.

This puts the total number of infections at 566,326 since the beginning of the pandemic and Spain, behind South Africa, is the 9th highest number of infections worldwide.

the pandemic.

The capital reports the highest corona numbers in the country with 108,374 infections.

However, the Balearic Islands were also hit particularly badly.

While many vacationers are still relaxing on the beach, the Spanish government is tightening the measures.
