Does Germany have the corona pandemic under control?
Recently, more Covid 19 cases were reported again.
The number of reproductions also increased.
More corona cases are currently being registered in almost all of Europe.
In Germany, too, more infected people have recently been reported.
If you look at the European comparison, however, the Federal Republic is doing quite well.
We have
summarized
basic
facts about the coronavirus
*
for you
.
We also offer you the current number of cases in
Germany
as well as global developments
on a map
.
Berlin -
Germany
is in
good shape when it
comes to
Corona containment
.
Even if the number of infections has recently risen again, we are still relatively far away from the pandemic wedding in March and April, when 4,000 to 6,000 new infections were registered daily.
Corona in Germany: the number of infections is increasing
On Sunday the
Robert Koch Institute reported
948 new
Covid 19 cases
.
However, because not all health authorities always deliver their data reliably at the weekend, the statistics are less meaningful.
It is therefore advisable to take a look at the RKI situation reports during the week.
From Monday (September 7th) to Friday (September 11th) an average of 1,536 new infections were registered.
If you compare the current data with those from two months ago, when fewer than 500 new cases were constantly added, it is noticeable that significantly more people are
infected
with
Covid-19 again
.
However, the Federal Republic seems to be doing a good job in terms of fighting pandemics.
This is particularly evident when you consider the situation in other European countries.
Corona in Germany: 14-day incidence - Germany better than many EU countries
Whether in Spain, France, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary or Great Britain - the number of cases has recently skyrocketed in many cases.
Many countries now have more
new corona infections
than Germany, despite a lower population.
This is noticeable, for example, in the 14-day incidence calculated by the World Health Organization.
These data show how many people are
infected
with
Corona
per 100,000 inhabitants
.
While the situation in
Spain
or
France is
becoming more and more precarious,
Germany
ranks
in the lower middle field.
Incidentally,
Cyprus
currently has the lowest 14-day incidence
.
The island state has four infected people per 100,000 residents.
The corona situation in Europe after a 14-day incidence (source: WHO, as of September 13)
1. Montenegro: 301 infected per 100,000 population
2. Andorra: 285
3. Spain: 217
4. France / Republic of Moldova: 156 each
6. Czech Republic: 106
5. France: 126
16. Austria: 67
28. Italy: 28
37.Sweden: 23
39. Germany: 21
So is everything under control
in
Germany
?
This impression can arise when you consider that with Würzburg and Kaufbeuren only two of the 401 city and districts now have more than 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at the same time, as in
Chemnitz
,
Rostock
,
Magdeburg
or
Dresden,
several thousand football fans are allowed into the stadium .
+
7.5,000 fans saw the cup match between Hansa Rostock and VfB Stuttgart on Sunday.
Even 12,000 spectators are allowed on Monday in Dresden.

Corona in Germany: pandemic under control?
Number of reproductions above critical mark
But you shouldn't rest on that.
Experts continue to warn of a second wave * in autumn.
How quickly the situation can tighten again can be seen at the moment in the Mediterranean region, for example.
The current RKI management report also shows
that
Corona
is not over.
Accordingly, the number of
reproductions is
currently 1.15 above the critical threshold of 1. This means that 100 infected people are currently infecting 115 people.
The reported
R-values
between mid-July and mid-August were in some cases well above 1, and since mid-August below or around 1. The R-values, which have now increased again, “can largely be attributed to an increasing number of immigrants, especially after vacation trips during the Summer holidays, but also to a still larger number of smaller outbreaks, ”writes the
RKI
.
All in all, the situation in
Germany is
better than in many other countries.
Now you have to be careful so that it stays that way.
