A recent medical study conducted by scientists from the University of Warwick revealed that people who suffer from snoring are three times more likely to die from the emerging corona virus if they are hospitalized.
According to the British newspaper Daily Mail, scientists conducted a review of 18 studies to reveal a relationship between sleep apnea and the Corona virus, and found that those who suffer from this condition that causes snoring and suffocation when the throat muscles relax and the airway is temporarily blocked during sleep are at a greater risk of death. Or severe symptoms caused by the "Covid 19" virus.
Dr. Michael Miller, who leads the research team, indicated that the Corona virus increases oxidative stress and inflammation and has effects on the bradykinin pathways commonly associated with apnea.
Obstructive sleep apnea is a condition in which a temporary or intermittent cessation of breathing occurs during sleep and lasts from a few seconds to a few minutes, and this phenomenon is repeated at least five times an hour.
