It is still unclear whether the right will succeed in mobilizing a majority at all to approve the establishment of the commission of inquiry, because the Likud has not yet made a decision on whether they will decide to support the proposal in question.

Last week, MK Bezalel Smutrich's proposal from the right, which called for the establishment of a parliamentary inquiry committee to examine the conflicts of interest of Supreme Court judges with the State Attorney's Office.

The request to hold the hearing came last night by MK Smutrich and MK Shaked, who turned to Levin in this matter, after Amit Segal was exposed in the Channel 12 news program, regarding suspicion of covering up senior officials in the police and the State Attorney's Office regarding Prime Minister Netanyahu's cases.

As you may recall, about two months ago, the Knesset plenum rejected a similar proposal by Smutrich, who called for the establishment of a commission of inquiry to examine the judges' conflicts of interest.
