Naasón Joaquín García, leader of the La Luz del Mundo church, has pleaded not guilty to the 36 criminal charges against him, including conspiracy to commit human trafficking, child pornography and sexual abuse of minors.
The magistrate who presided over the hearing in the Superior Court of Los Angeles set for November 12 the beginning of the jury selection, and the 16 of that same month would be the trial against the self-styled "apostle of Jesus Christ."
The judge reiterated that the bond will remain at $ 90 million.
Garcia has been in the Los Angeles jail since June last year, when he was arrested at the Los Angeles international airport.
The charges were dismissed by an appeals court in Northern California for "bad procedure" by the prosecution.
