US President Donald Trump said tonight (Thursday) that five or six more Arab countries are interested in joining and normalizing diplomatic relations with Israel, following an agreement signed at the White House with Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.
"I spoke with two of these countries yesterday, and they are ready to try it soon," Trump said at a White House news conference.
"We will have peace throughout the Middle East with no bloodshed in the sand," Trump said.
"I think Saudi Arabia will also enter into an agreement."
He explained that "this is my feeling. It is not based on knowledge, except for a few conversations I had with King Salman on the subject."
He added that "I think in the end everyone will join, some in the very near future."
Already on Tuesday, Trump said that "there are five or six more countries that I think will also sign normalization agreements later."
He made the remarks as he greeted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife at the White House, ahead of the signing ceremony of the agreements with Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.
Trump stressed that the Palestinians will also join these agreements at the appropriate time.

Last week, Trump said before Bahrain's decision to join the normalization agreement with Israel that another country might join the political agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.
He did not reveal the name of the country that might be next to join, saying Saudi Arabia would eventually do so.
"You will hear about other countries entering into an agreement in the near future, and we will be able to have peace in the Middle East," he said.

The US president added that "what will eventually happen is that there will be quite a few countries that will enter, after the big ones go in."
He said, "I talked to the king of Saudi Arabia, we're talking about it. And you can see them coming in."
At a press conference held tonight at the White House, Trump also referred to reports that some White House staffers were found positive for the corona virus after the ceremony last Tuesday at the White House.
Asked about the issue, Trump said one White House staffer contracted the corona virus.
"It's just one staff member and I haven't met him," he said.
"This is not an employee who was close to me."
White House spokeswoman Kylie McNini said at the news conference that the case "did not affect" the events at the White House.
Earlier, White House spokeswomen confirmed that they had been updated on several cases of the virus, but the head of staff at the center said he was not willing to provide further details.
"I never respond to any issue related to health in the White House," he said.
