Emilia-Romagna opens Serie A and Formula1 to the public

The public returns to the stadium for the first Serie A matches and for the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Imola.

Up to a thousand fans will be able to attend the matches of the first championship Parma-Napoli on Sunday 20 September, at the Tardini of the Emilian city, and Sassuolo-Cagliari, at the Mapei stadium in Reggio Emilia.

In Imola, on the other hand, for the Formula 1 Grand Prix from October 31st to November 1st, up to 13,147 spectators can be present in the stands.

The ok with the order of the Emilia-Romagna Region which grants the derogation to the maximum number of spectators foreseen for national and international sporting events.

The opportunity given by the derogation, signed by the president Stefano Bonaccini, is based on a previous regional ordinance, provided that a specific security plan is presented by the organizers that guarantees the application of certain anti-Covid measures:

distancing, mandatory use mask, controlled access

, sanitation and controls outside the structure.

- The public is starting to return to the stadiums in Emilia-Romagna but the presence of fans in the stands will be very different from the pre-Covid "normality".

The exemption granted by the Region for the Sunday matches of Parma-Naples and Sassuolo-Cagliari prohibits attending the matches from standing positions, introducing banners, flags or other material inside the stadium and also prohibits any form of contact between players and spectators at the end of the event.

Fans must wear a mask, the sale of tickets exclusively online.

In attendance, on Sunday 20 September, in the Parma and Reggio Emilia stadiums, up to a thousand fans will be able to participate - according to the regional derogation.

The condition is that the managers guarantee the necessary vigilance to avoid gatherings during the entrance, outflow and permanence of the public in the assigned place and in relation to the use of the toilets, as well as respect for interpersonal distancing.

For staggered access, an adequate number of gates must be planned, in order to avoid gatherings when checking the temperature and tickets.

There must be a staggering of spectators in groups in the outflow phase at the end of the meetings through a defined program, disseminated by the speaker and coordinated by carefully trained security personnel and the presence of a steward service must be guaranteed with the task of assisting the public and monitor compliance with behavioral measures.

The sale of tickets will be exclusively online or in advance to avoid queues and gatherings at the ticket offices which must be closed at the time of the event.

The organizers will keep a copy of the lists of names of those who bought the tickets for at least 14 days, making them available on request to the health facilities in case of need to carry out contact-tracing activities.

As regards the Formula 1 Grand Prix

at the 'Enzo e Dino Ferrari' racetrack in Imola, 13,147 spectators will be able to participate in the stands on condition that the manager, Formula Imola SpA, undertakes to apply the protocol presented and to supervise the its implementation, which must guarantee all the organizational measures envisaged to avoid gatherings during the access and outflow of the public to the plant, while staying in the assigned place and in relation to the refreshment points and toilets.

The manager must keep a copy of the lists of names of those who bought the tickets for at least 14 days, making them available on request to the health facilities in case of need to carry out contact-tracing activities
