Members of a peaceful firefighting unit, in cooperation with the people, today extinguished a fire that broke out in the forests of the Jabal Al-Ayyour site, west of Sheikh Ali, in the northwestern countryside of Salamiyah.
Colonel Thaer Al-Hassan, commander of the Hama Fire Brigade, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the fire broke out in the forests of Jabal al-Ayyour, and the strong winds contributed to its expansion, but the intervention of a peaceful firefighting unit, with the participation of the people of the region, contributed to controlling the fire and finally extinguishing the fire hours after its outbreak.
