Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense in the Lebanese caretaker government, Zeina Aker, affirmed that Lebanon's commitment to international resolutions does not mean abandoning its right to defend its land and sovereignty against any Israeli aggression.
In a statement issued by her media office after her tour in southern Lebanon today, Aker said: “The international forces operating in southern Lebanon“ UNIFIL ”must oblige the Israeli enemy to fully respect the provisions of International Resolution 1701, and to coordinate and cooperate between the Lebanese army and UNIFIL to deter Israeli attacks. .
Akkar praised the efforts of the Lebanese army to maintain security and stability, confront the Israeli enemy and preserve Lebanon's sovereignty.
