Julien Bayou, national secretary of EELV, judged Saturday, September 19 possible of "
alliances
" with the rest of the left "
from the first round of regional
" 2021, on the basis of a "

".

“
We will not win the elections alone.
In the second round of the regional, there will be alliances
"with the other left-wing forces (PS, PCF, LFI ...), he said.
“
But from the first round, the rally will be possible, provided that the conditions are locally met,
” he told AFP on the sidelines of a federal council of the environmental party in Paris.
“
It is at the regional level that it will be organized.
I think there will be agreements here and there for the 1st round.
Otherwise, we will have to come together in the second round to win,
”said the number one of the Greens.
"
The only directive at the national level concerns parity, six heads of lists men, six women
" (for the metropolis, not including Corsica).
He gave as an example the Hauts-de-France region, where the gathering could take place from the 1st round, due to the presence of the RN.
"
Discussions are underway, because if we arrive third after the first, the RN may win and we will be forced to withdraw,
" he warned.
During the Summer Day of Ecologists, in Pantin in August, EELV and five other parties (the Independent Ecologist Alliance, the Progressive Movement, Cap21, Generation Ecology and Generations) had launched a "
call
" for the rally and the constitution common lists for regional and departmental 2021.
The Federal Council must continue its work on Sunday, behind closed doors, with a vote between two proposals concerning the presidential election: one, supported by Yannick Jadot, MEP, Noël Mamère and José Bové, aims to organize, before January 1, the designation of the Green candidate.
Potential candidates would have until November 10 to declare themselves.
The second, supported by Julien Bayou, defends the nomination of the candidate after the regional ones.
The result of the vote of the 120 federal councilors is expected on Sunday evening.
