Salim Municipal Council in Sweida completed the implementation of a project to extend sewage lines that serve 35 percent of the town's population.

In a statement to SANA's correspondent today, the head of the municipality council, Hani Abu Munther, said that the cost of the project funded by UNICEF exceeded 80 million pounds and the length of its lines amounted to 1500 meters, indicating that it secures a connection with the sewage outlet of the youth housing area, which is currently being implemented.

Abu Munther pointed out the importance of this project to alleviate environmental damage because it serves an area that used to depend on artistic injustice.

On the other hand, Rami Municipal Council has completed the first phase of paving the southern corniche road of the village, which connects it to the village of Al-Sharihi in the eastern countryside of the province of Sweida.

The head of the Municipal Council, Hikmat Muqalled, stated that the first phase included paving about 500 meters of the road with a length of more than 1200 meters, at a cost of about 40 million pounds, funded by the independent budget of the Governorate Council and by contracting with the Technical Services Directorate, indicating that the remaining section of the road was prepared in preparation for paving it during Next period.

The town of Salim is located on the Sweida Shahba road, about 8 kilometers from the governorate center, while the village of Rami is located east of the town of Al-Mashnaf in the eastern countryside of Sweida, about 25 kilometers from the governorate center.
