Paris: a shooter disguised as a woman fires in the street

Moment of panic, this Friday evening, on the place Lachambeaudie, behind the park of Bercy (12th century).

Shortly before 10 p.m., a man ran across the square, a gun in his hand.

He suddenly opened fire and fired several times - apparently in all directions - before fleeing.

One of the projectiles ended up in the iron curtain of a bar-tobacco which had just closed.

Several other businesses in the square (including a brasserie, a hookah bar and a sandwich shop) were still open at the time of the facts.

Their customers were left with a fright.

Fortunately, the shooting did not cause any injuries.

"Everyone ran. It was panic"

“There were about ten people on the terrace when the detonations started.

At least five or six.

Everyone ran in all directions.

It was panic, ”comments the manager of the Dijon café, traumatized by the event.

"We didn't sleep the rest of the night!"

Witnesses heard by the police who arrived in the process indicated that the gunman, dressed in a long tunic, had hidden his face under a hijab.

The first elements of the investigation, and in particular the exploitation of the video surveillance of the district, made it possible to establish that the man had not fired at random.

He was targeting another individual he was chasing and who managed to escape without being hit.

The gunman's victim did not subsequently come forward to the police.

His attacker, he allegedly fled with an accomplice who was waiting for him on a scooter after the failure of his attempted murder.

The findings of the Judicial Identity which continued until 2 a.m. this Saturday on the Place Lachambaudie made it possible to find three 9mm caliber cartridge cases.

The second judicial police district was responsible for further investigation.

The same service has been working for a few days on a similar affair which arose last Monday, at the beginning of the night, in the rue du Faubourg du Temple (10th / 11th century).

Two men on scooters repeatedly fired on a third who was seriously injured.
