A new opinion poll shows that Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is ahead of US President Donald Trump in Maine, Arizona and North Carolina.
The poll, conducted jointly by the American New York Times newspaper with "Siena" University in New York, indicated that Biden had a lead by 17 percentage points over Trump in "Maine" and 9 points in Arizona, and by one point in North Carolina.
The poll also showed that the Democratic candidates for the Senate were ahead of their Republican rivals by at least five percentage points in the three states mentioned.
A previous poll, conducted in the first week of September, showed Biden was far ahead of Trump in voting intentions for Latin American voters in the elections to be held on the third of November.
