Donald Trump said on Saturday that he would come up "
very quickly
" with a name, "
probably
" that of a woman, to fill the post left vacant on the Supreme Court of the United States by the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

We will have a nominee very quickly,
" said the Republican president before taking off for a campaign rally in North Carolina.
"
It will most likely be a woman,
" he added, as the Democratic opposition asks him not to appoint a new judge before the presidential election on November 3.
According to Reuters, the US president cited the names of two “
highly respected
”
judges
: Amy Conet Barrett and Barbara Lagoa.
Professor Amy Conet Barrett, 48, a devout Catholic and anti-abortionist was recently appointed by the US president to the US Court of Appeals.
52-year-old Barbara Lagoa, also recently appointed to the United States Court of Appeals by Donald Trump, was previously the first woman of Hispanic origin to serve on the Florida Supreme Court.
