Today, the Lebanese Army Command announced the completion of the process of surveying the damage resulting from the Beirut Port explosion, which occurred on August 4, and the continuation of the search for the missing as a result of the explosion.
In a press conference held by the Directorate of Guidance at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense, Colonel Elias Aad, head of the Press and Public Relations Department at the Army Command, said that in compliance with the previously set deadline, the damage survey tasks were completed within 15 days, which included 85,744 units affected by the Beirut port explosion, and the results of the work of the committees were drawn up. Within the reach of all donors, as friendly countries, non-governmental organizations and individuals wishing to donate or restore and rebuild can see the results of the accurate and transparent survey adopted by the military institution in the face of the consequences of the explosion.
Aad indicated that research work is continuing to uncover the fate of the nine missing, who are three Lebanese, five Syrians and one Egyptian.
The explosion rocked the port of Beirut on the fourth of last August, inflicting tens of martyrs and thousands of wounded, in addition to enormous material damage.
