These are historical sights that were created on Saturday on the Theresienwiese.

Because there is no Oktoberfest 2020. Above all, one discovery says it all.

The "Non-Wiesn" in pictures.

  • The

    Oktoberfest

    in

    Munich

will not take place in 2020 due to the corona pandemic.

  • Many people use the

    WirtshausWiesn

    as a substitute

    .

  • Others traveled on Saturday, September 19.

nevertheless to Theresienwiese - memorable sights emerged.

Munich - #koawiesn!

With hashtags like these, many people on

Instagram celebrated

a historic September 19, 2020. For the first time since the Second World War, there is

no

Oktoberfest

in

Munich as

a

result of the

corona pandemic

A little consolation was launched with the

WirtshausWiesn

.

Oktoberfest fans should

get a bit of Oktoberfest flair

in the

restaurants

and at the same time support the local

gastronomy

.

Even traditional tapping did not fall by the wayside, but did not run smoothly everywhere.

The actually so practiced former mayor

Christian Ude made

an unprecedented mishap - but it was not just his fault.

Despite the Oktoberfest cancellation due to Corona: Many visit Theresienwiese

Despite the increased corona numbers, the

Theresienwiese

still exerted an almost magical attraction on many

.

The authorities had already expected this and issued an

alcohol ban

.

There was of course no “ban on entering” (and the journey was easier than ever, as can be seen above) - so at the best time of the day, numerous people in traditional costumes romped about in the otherwise busy place.

And peacefully!

On the Theresienwiese itself at 12 o'clock there were occasional “O'zapft is” calls.

According to the

police

, who, according to a spokesman, were on duty with 60 people to check, everything remained calm.

Oktoberfest cancellation due to Corona: Even a beer table can be seen on Theresienwiese

A group of

Oktoberfest waitresses

picnicked in traditional costumes with a cola mix and alcohol-free shandy below the Bavaria.

They even got together for breakfast with a complete set of beer tables, as the AFP agency recorded in pictures.

On the initiative of the

Paulaner brewery

, Oktoberfest hosts, showmen, representatives of the city, the Münchner Kindl and the Munich Breweries Association met at the former parade ground of the Luitpold barracks at 10 a.m. to show their hearts for the Oktoberfest and to say hello to all Oktoberfest fans.

The heart from beer tables is also said to represent a greeting to the world.

A

heart made

of beer table

sets

framed the splendid teams of breweries, after tapping the guests toasted each other at a distance, and so all the heart photos were also taken as greetings to everyone who did not come to Munich to celebrate this year.

Oktoberfest cancellation due to Corona: web designer discovers whole milk pack on Theresienwiese

A

fashion designer

also insisted on heading for the Theresienwiese to pose in one of her creations.

And perhaps the most symptomatic photo was taken by a Munich web designer: A few meters away from the Bavaria she saw an

empty whole milk carton

on the gravel.

And captured this memorable scenario for posterity.

The Saturday after September 15th, 12 noon, Theresienwiese Munich.

There was something.

Ordinarily there would be people full to the brim with alcohol.

In 2020 everything will be a little different.

Milk instead of alcohol, prudence instead of excess.

But many who have celebrated their non-Wiesn with the necessary distance - be it at the WirtshausWiesn or privately - may have noticed that something like this can also be pleasant.
