Defense Minister Bnei Gantz, this evening, together with Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi and Science Minister Yizhar Shai, held a telephone discussion and situation assessment with an expert forum on the issue of the increase in morbidity.

Gantz said at the end of the hearing that "the spread of the disease is alarming, and therefore requires all citizens of the state to take personal responsibility for themselves and those close to them, and to obey instructions with an emphasis on avoiding gatherings and wearing masks."

Gantz said that "if there is no response to the instructions, there will be no choice but to tighten the closure in order to prevent the spread of the disease, to prevent damage to the capacity of the hospitals and to close the entire economy over time."
