A fall into the sea occurred in Tsim Sha Tsui.
At about 2 am, it was reported that a woman in her 20s was suspected of being drunk. She suddenly jumped into the sea on the waterfront of Tsim Sha Tsui near the Cultural Center.
Upon seeing the incident, a nearby fishing man immediately picked up a life-saving blister on the shore and jumped down to rescue the female victim. Other passers-by reported the incident on their behalf.
A fire boat arrived at the scene to assist the two of them ashore. Both were awake when they were rescued and were sent to the hospital by an ambulance.
During this period, the female victim kept crying and had to put on reflective felt to keep warm.
The police are investigating the incident. The police officers seized the fishing supplies at the scene and returned them to the man who rescued the fisherman.
