Gaza media reported today (Sunday) on a tunnel that collapsed in the northern Gaza Strip, east of Beit Lahiya.
According to various reports in the Palestinian media, rescue forces called to the scene managed to rescue from the tunnel that collapsed at least seven casualties, who were moderately to severely injured.
The injured were taken to the Indonesian hospital in Gaza and the Hamas Interior Ministry announced that the death of one of the wounded who had been brought to the hospital had been determined.
Sources in Gaza estimated that the collapsed tunnel was probably intended for terrorist purposes, as well as for the purpose of smuggling goods into the Strip.
Some reports claim that the tunnel collapsed after being located by IDF forces, who used special technological means that caused it to collapse.
