Homs firefighters put out six fires today that affected fruit trees, forest and dry grass in Homs city and its countryside.
Colonel Othman Juda, commander of the Homs Fire Brigade, told SANA's correspondent that the regiment, in cooperation with the Civil Defense and Fire Department of Homs Agriculture Directorate, dealt with a fire that broke out with forest and fruit trees near the town of Shin in the countryside of Homs and were able to control and extinguish it.
Juda added that the members of the regiment, in cooperation with the Civil Defense, put out the kina tree fire near the Tal Kalakh bridge on the Homs-Tartous road, and a grass fire near the town of Al-Zara and two fruit trees near the towns of Al-Khansa and Halat in the western Homs countryside, in addition to a weed fire near Palmyra roundabout at the southern entrance to the city of Homs.
Two days ago, Homs firefighters put out five fires in separate areas of Homs, affecting forested and fruitful trees and dry herbs.
