Ahead of the cabinet discussion, a source in the Ministry of Health said: "The instructions can be digested for a few days" • The Prime Minister attacked Shasha-Bitton for the permits; the MK: "He will stop escaping responsibility"

The Corona Cabinet will convene today (Tuesday) for a meeting to examine the state of the closure that began about a week ago.

At the center of the discussion is the possibility of tightening the restrictions in the coming days in order to reduce the extent of the morbidity.

In a discussion held in the government yesterday, many of the ministers expressed their position that the closure should be tightened.

The Minister of Energy, Dr. Yuval Steinitz, said that "a target must be set for the closure, which should be 100 plus-minus verified per day.

The goal should be one that allows the control chains to be controlled. "

He added that "even leaving the house should be limited to 100-200 meters - 1,000 meters is inefficient. The closure must be tightened now."

Minister Zeev Elkin expressed a similar opinion.

Blue and white chairman Bnei Gantz called for the continuation of the demonstrations in front of the Prime Minister's House and said that "the demonstration is a fundamental right.

Anyone who breaks the law should be punished. "However, Ganz added that" this is not the time to do beach parties. "

"Set a personal example"

Ministers Miri Regev and Amir Ohana demanded that the demonstrations in front of the Prime Minister's House be reduced. Minister Yoaz Handel called on his colleagues to set a personal example and claimed that each of them cares about his own sector. Commenting ahead of the cabinet debate: "Health Minister Edelstein will ask in the debate to further tighten the closure, but this will not happen immediately.

The intention is to give the public a few days to digest the guidelines and gather more data on the impact of the steps taken so far. "

Regarding the continuation and in light of the reports that the closure may need to be extended, the source said: "The hope is that a week and a half in the current format and another two weeks of a closer closure will give results, and then it will be possible to start talking about an exit strategy."

Finance Minister Katz said that "private workplaces must remain open to enable economic activity."

Katz stressed that "a workplace that does not adhere to the guidelines will be closed, without receiving any assistance from the state."

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Corona committee, MK Yifat Shasha-Bitton, last night rejected the implicit criticism sent to her by Netanyahu, saying: "Whoever underestimates the restrictions - do not come with complaints about the steep rise in morbidity."

She said, "It would be good for the prime minister to stop running away from responsibility and throw mud and slime."
