The death of more than 300 elephants between May and July was a mystery in Botswana.

The government of that country indicated this Monday that the deaths could be the product of toxins generated by cyanobacteria in the water.

However, some wildlife conservationists disagree with this explanation and ask that the full investigation be disclosed.
