Today, the WHO Regional Director for Europe, Hans Kluge, expressed the organization’s gratitude to Russia for developing the “Sputnik V” vaccine against the Coronavirus.

"The World Health Organization highly appreciates the efforts made by Russia to develop the" Sputnik V "vaccine against Covid 19 again .. I would like to thank Russia for its excellent efforts to create a safe and effective vaccine," Sputnik news agency quoted Klugi as saying.

The Russian Ministry of Health registered the first vaccine in the world to prevent Covid 19, which was developed by experts of the Gamali Epidemiology and Microbiology Research Center and produced jointly with the Russian Fund for Direct Investments.

The head of the fund, Kirill Dmitriev, announced earlier that the fund received requests from more than 20 countries of the world to buy one billion doses of the national vaccine, indicating that Russia had agreed to produce this vaccine in five countries and the available capacities cover the opportunity to produce 500 million doses per year.
