The 75th United Nations General Assembly opened today (Monday) in New York City in the United States, and this year, for the first time, the leaders will deliver speeches that will be broadcast remotely, due to the Corona plague.

Due to concerns about the spread of the corona virus, states were only allowed to send one representative and only a few sent a representative to the rally itself in New York, most of the speakers and representatives will participate via video software.

"Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke during the rally calling for the UN headquarters to be" better connected to Europe and Asia. "Ardorn called for the UN Security Council to open up to more countries and carry out reforms that would transform the UN. To a "more transparent and fair" institution.

US President Donald Trump will not come to New York to give his speech as he has previously stated that he intends to do and instead will settle for a pre-recorded speech.

The president's speech is expected to be devoted in part to the restoration of sanctions on Iran and a call for the UN and member states to adopt the sanctions.

On the other hand, Iran and its allies are expected to oppose sanctions and have the support of European countries.

"It will be an ugly session," a European diplomat who was a member of one of the delegations to the rally told the American news site Politico.

Another controversial event scheduled to take place at the rally is the speech of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, which is expected to introduce the world to the drug fight program he is launching in his country, and has claimed the lives of thousands of suspected drug traffickers.
