Jean-Luc Mélenchon greeted Monday a
"sort of creolization"
of French society which needs a
"Sixth Republic"
, on the occasion of the launch of his party's think tank,
"the Institut de la Boétie"
, with the approach of the presidential election of 2022. The leader of rebellious France, who spoke at the Mutualité in front of party activists, explained that this organization was called upon to transform into a
"foundation"
which will be
"at the same time a place of high-level intellectual development and a tool for popular education ”
.
In a long speech on the Republic, which foreshadows the ideas that he could develop in a future presidential campaign, Jean-Luc Mélenchon affirmed:
“our people have creolized, the French people have started a kind of creolization which is new in our history, we shouldn't be afraid of it, that's good.
We move forward, we live, ”
he said.
With this creolization,
"we need a new rule of the game. This is why the Sixth Republic is a vital need of the French Nation"
.

Jean-Luc Mélenchon estimated that the 18 months which separate from the presidential election of May 2022 are
"little time"
.
“For us, the issue of the
Common Future program (LFI program, editor's note)
is essential.
And we need these 18 months, which are very short, to convince and expand the number of those who tomorrow will have to get to work to apply the program in question, ”
he said.
He also criticized President Emmanuel Macron who
"would like to organize the competition of territories, with a so-called law of
differentiation
"
.
“It means specific laws, it's not the same law for everyone anymore.
The laws that are being prepared are counter-republican laws
, ”he accused.
The government adopted a bill at the end of July aimed at simplifying and therefore increasing the number of experiments carried out by local authorities, following Emmanuel Macron's wish to allow
“more differentiation”
between the territories.
