Kochel / Schlehdorf

- A previously unknown dog owner caused a traffic accident on Thursday.

According to the police, the stranger's mixed sheepdog, who was not on a leash, had chased a deer near the first Loisach bridge on State Road 2062 around 4.30 p.m. and crossed the roadway.

Exactly at this moment, a Kochler (83) drove his VW Golf in the direction of Kochel and caught the dog, which was thrown away.

Apparently, the mongrel had survived the collision without any noticeable injuries and got up again.

The Kochler's VW was slightly damaged, the estimated amount of damage is 1500 euros.

Two witnesses spoke to the dog owner about the incident.

But he showed no interest in taking care of the further processing and went away with his dog.

The man is around 50 years old, 175 centimeters tall, is slim and has graying hair.

His residence is presumed to be in Schlehdorf.

The police are investigating the dog owner for violations of hunting and animal welfare law as well as unauthorized removal from the scene of the accident.

Information about witnesses is requested to the police in Kochel on 0 80 41/76 10 62 73.
