- The Berglerner now have a senior advisory board.
In contrast to the city of Erding, for example, the establishment, staffing and official appointment were unanimously passed through the municipal council in just a quarter of an hour.
The first actions of the new committee have already been scheduled.
One difficulty was that the administration misspelled two names on the list.
Elisabeth Bauer and Deputy Mayor Otmar Lerch (both PuB) are taking seats in the new committee, which also includes VdK Chairman Rolf Bolliger, Marlene Zollner, Hanni Ott, Susanna Schmid-Elsaesser, Josef Eberl and Georg Wagner.
"I am very happy," said Mayor Anton Scherer.
He paid tribute to his deputy because he had worked in the background to find the candidates.
“Otmar has found a team that is a good mix,” explained the mayor.
Lerch himself is also senior officer of the community and was motivated: "We will stir up mountain people from the senior side." Depending on the situation, he will take over the chairmanship.
The first specific event is already underway: On October 2nd, e-bikes will take you to the traffic garden in Wartenberg, where the aim is to familiarize the elderly with the increasingly popular means of transport and to practice with it.
With Klaus Schauer from Wartenberg, the senior representatives have brought an expert on board who will also provide rental bicycles for the campaign.
Lerch announced an increased cooperation in the administrative community and is following the example of the mayor.
He said there would be other events that the senior representatives of the VG communities will put together.
Otherwise, Lerch was brief, recalling that such a committee had already existed in Berglern.
But that was "presented differently".
Nobody wanted to go into the details.
