President Donald Trump said Monday that he has reduced his list of candidates to the Supreme Court to five and that he will soon announce who will fill the vacancy left by the death of Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Trump clarified that he wants to make the announcement once funeral services are over to honor Ginsburg, who died Friday at age 87 of pancreatic cancer.

He also insisted that he wants the Senate to hold a vote to confirm the nominee before the November 3 presidential election.
