The lifeless bodies of two British octogenarians were discovered Monday, September 21 at their home in Bazoges-en-Pareds in Vendée by the gendarmerie who opened an investigation, said the prosecution.

This is an English couple, in their eighties, a man and a woman
” found in their house, said the prosecution.

These are friends of theirs who live in England who, having no news, called the town hall,

Mayor Philippe Richier went there with the emergency services and the gendarmes shortly after 2 p.m., he told AFP.

Technicians in criminal investigation went there and we will order two autopsies,

There are no elements that challenge us on an offense commission and the death could go back several days.
A priori it is not criminal,

A gendarmerie investigation is underway to establish the circumstances of the deaths and "
all hypotheses are open,
" according to a source close to the investigation.
