The Likud's internal battles over control of the World Likud and its positions in national institutions are intensifying: Coalition chairman Miki Zohar, who ran for the Likud presidency, announced last week that he does not accept Yaakov Hagoel's victory in the election, and that he is promoting a move to split Likud delegates in Congress world Zionist under the leadership. in response, Haguel announced today (Monday) that the retirement of brilliance and other functionaries would be a violation of the Likud constitution, and warned that this may be grounds for termination of their membership in the party at all.

world Likud is the umbrella organization of all branches of the Likud in the world, it represents the The Likud movement in the Zionist Congress, and it has an influence on hundreds of positions and jobs in the national institutions - the JNF, the Jewish Agency, the Keren Hayesod and the Zionist Organization.

In recent months, the organization's elections have been stirring party officials.

The focus of attention was the battle between glamor, supported by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, and World Likud Chairman Jacob Haguel, associate minister and former ambassador Danny Danon, who also is a past job.

Among other things, Zohar and Katz tried to lead a move to change the Likud constitution so that the global Likud would be subordinated to it, and thus control and influence over the appointments and positions would actually pass to the prime minister and members of the center.

As part of the king, Zohar and Katz tried to change the way they voted in elections to hurt Hagoel's status and power.

Last week, however, Hagoel managed to block the move, and later announced his victory in the election and his victory in the Likud World Cup.

At the same time, this is only the first stage in the division of roles and jobs in national institutions, which is determined in coalition negotiations with the other factions and parties in the World Zionist Congress, which will convene next month.

"Create a division in the representation of the movement."

World Likud Chairman Yaakov Hagoel

Immediately after Hagoel announced his victory, Zohar announced that he was denying the choice and set out on an independent path.

"We hereby make it clear that we have no commitment to the decisions of the global Likud in its current form," read a document published by Zohar last week.

He published the document together with two other heads of lists of the center's members, who together represent more than the majority of the 115 Likud deputies in the World Congress.

The document states that Zohar and not Hagoel, is the power of attorney to represent the Likud in the national institutions, and apart from him - no one is authorized to act in the Zionist Congress or to conduct coalition negotiations.

"We expect Mr. Yaakov Hagoel to internalize that we must cooperate with the institutions of the Likud movement in Israel, together with the representatives from around the world so that we can bring honor and splendor to the Jewish people, the state, the Likud and the prime minister in national institutions," it said.

The reply letter from Hagoel and the heads of the other lists who joined him in the Zohar was sent today, calling on them to withdraw their announcement of retirement from the World Likud, and to respect the democratic decision of the movement's institutions.

"The meaning of the declaration you signed is a de facto retirement from the World Likud, and a split in the movement's representation in national institutions," Hagoel wrote.

"You have no right to represent the movement in national institutions"

"This is in order to weaken the movement and harm its basic values," the letter claimed.

"I have no doubt in my heart that the statement you signed was signed hastily, in Idna Dritha, and perhaps out of personal disappointment (legitimate in itself) that the processes you initiated did not develop as you wanted."

However, Hagoel added that "the greatness of the Likud movement is that its decisions are made democratically, and not everyone is always satisfied. I call on you to rise above personal disappointment and not 'burn the club'."

In addition, Hagoel clarified that according to the Likud constitution, even if Zohar and his friends are interested in retiring from the global Likud, they have no legal authority to do so under the Likud constitution.

"You have no right to represent the Likud movement in the national institutions," Hagoel wrote, adding that retiring from the global Likud may also be a reason for terminating membership in the entire Likud.
