The former collaborator of Emmanuel Macron was transported to Cochin hospital on Tuesday evening. He would have been diagnosed positive for Covid-19.

The Paris firefighters intervened at the home of Alexandre Benalla this Tuesday evening.

The ex-close collaborator of Emmanuel Macron was hospitalized around 9 p.m. at Cochin hospital in relative urgency, according to concordant sources.

The former bodyguard of the head of state would have been diagnosed positive for Covid-19.

Pinned, on May 1, 2018, for acts of violence against demonstrators, on the sidelines of a demonstration against the pension scheme, the former security officer of President Emmanuel Macron has been more discreet in recent months.

It must be said that Alexandre Benalla is targeted in no less than six judicial inquiries.

Last week, the Paris prosecutor asked for his referral to the criminal court for "forgery" and "use of forgery" and "improper obtaining of an administrative document" in the diplomatic passports case.

Sacked two months after the start of the scandal, Alexandre Benalla is being prosecuted in this part of the case for having obtained and used, after his departure from the Elysee Palace, two diplomatic passports to travel to Africa and Israel, where he began his conversion by consulting international security.

The investigation still in progress

He also held a service passport, obtained according to the prosecution by fraudulently producing a letter on the letterhead of the Elysée chief of staff, François-Xavier Lauch, but "typed" and not signed.

Investigating judges must now decide whether or not to dismiss him.

Alexandre Benalla firmly denies having made any fakes.

During the investigation, three close collaborators of Emmanuel Macron, including the secretary general of the Elysee Palace Alexis Kohler and his then chief of staff, François-Xavier Lauch, were heard in April 2019 by the judges of instruction.

The former bodyguard is also indicted with his friend Vincent Crase in the case of violence against demonstrators on May 1, 2018, the initial file which triggered all his other legal woes.

The investigation is still in progress.

Along with these procedures, Alexandre Benalla set up a security company.

He linked up with Franco-Israeli businessman Philippe Hababou Solomon, special advisor to former South African President Jacob Zuma.

During the municipal campaign, Alexandre Benalla had visited Saint-Denis on several occasions, spreading the rumor of his candidacy for the municipal elections of 2020. Regularly, he comments on the news on his Twitter account.
