Karl Hiermeyer was repeatedly a victim of vandalism.

But now the fun ends for the member of the Schliersee municipal council: someone has cut off the cable in the engine of his car.

Schliersee

- Karl Hiermeyer says when something doesn't suit him.

On his Facebook page, Schlierseer regularly comments on current topics in his home community and does not spare criticism.

It is no problem for Hiermeyer that he has to take something in himself as a reaction.

“I'm hardened,” he says.

But what has now happened to him stunned him.

A stranger cut several cables in the engine compartment of his private car.

"That", says Hiermeyer, noticeably affected, "goes far too far."

On Sunday, September 13th, the 65-year-old noticed that several warning lights were lighting up in his BMW 1 series.

The act itself must have happened the night before, he suspects.

When he brought his car to the workshop a few days later, it was found that two sensor cables of the ABS system had been cut.

He has now filed a complaint with the police.

The property damage amounts to around 100 euros.

The officials are investigating, among other things, because of dangerous interference in road traffic.

"I do not consider the act to be life-threatening," says Hiermeyer.

If the perpetrator had caught the brake cable, for example, it would have looked very different.

Hiermeyer has no suspicion as to who is behind the attack.

But it is not the first time that he has been a victim of vandalism.

Strangers would have smashed the windows of his mobile home or cut off the cable for the lighting system on his trailer.

But the current incident has another dimension: "If it potentially endangers health, the fun stops."

Now the Schliersee hopes that witnesses to the incident can be found in Schlierachstrasse.

Hiermeyer deliberately does not want to associate the incident with his involvement in the Schlierseer local council, into which he moved in May as a representative of PWG: “Because of the pleasant, objective tone in the local council that has prevailed since the new period, I conclude that out."
