Like many Parisians, Charles, 30, an NGO employee in the west of the capital, spent more than a week waiting for the results of his covid-19 PCR test.
Indeed, while the majority of these nasal tests returned their verdict in 24 to 48 hours a month ago, the deadlines now extend in the capital to 7 to 10 days.
Under government pressure, test requests have almost doubled since August, reaching 1.2 million per week.
But the laboratories have not yet been able to equip themselves accordingly.
