Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke tonight (Tuesday) by telephone with Bahrain's heir Salman bin Hamed.

This is the first public conversation between the two, after the agreement between the countries was signed to normalize relations on the White House lawn.

Bahrain's successor said in a conversation with Netanyahu that the peace declaration signed with Israel would help strengthen security, stability and prosperity in the Middle East.

According to the official news agency of Bahrain, the two discussed cooperation between the countries and developments in the region.

The conversation between the two comes after last night Communications Minister Yoaz Handel spoke with his counterpart in Bahrain Kamel between Ahmad Muhammad.

The two discussed the joint promotion of advanced communication technologies, the opening of mailings and direct telephone lines between the countries and cooperation on cyber and satellite communications.

The ministers agreed to continue working together and invited each other to their country for a working visit.

Following the agreements, US President Donald Trump hinted last Friday that Kuwait may be the next Arab country to normalize its relations with Israel.

He made the remarks at the end of a meeting with Amir Kuwait's son at the White House.

In the past, senior officials in the country have vehemently denied the possibility that it will normalize its relations with Israel soon.
