Chinese President Xi Jinping called on the world not to politicize the battle against the emerging corona virus pandemic, considering that international solidarity is the only way to overcome the crisis.
"China does not intend to fight a cold war or a hot war with any country," Xi said in his videotaped speech during the general debate of the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly that is being held remotely due to the Corona pandemic, indicating that "China is committed to fighting a cold war or a hot war with any country." The Chinese President affirmed his rejection of the unfounded accusations of US President Donald Trump against his country.
The Chinese president presented proposals on combating the Covid 19 pandemic, calling for a global response to the virus, giving the World Health Organization a leading role in this framework, and strengthening solidarity among countries.
The Chinese president pointed to the need to take comprehensive and long-term control measures in response to the disease, stressing the need for the world to pay attention to and absorb the needs of developing countries, especially those in Africa, calling on world leaders to adopt the concept of a large family and avoid falling into the trap of a clash of civilizations.
