The truck driver suffered a severe
shock
, but was not physically injured.
The motorcycle was destroyed in the collision and there was considerable damage to the truck.

“At around 2:20 pm today there was a serious traffic accident. One person was killed in the process. An 18-year-old Dietramszeller was on his way to Bad Tölz on his Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle on State Road 2368. A MAN truck (32t) loaded with gravel, driven by a 61-year-old from Bad Tölz, was traveling in the opposite direction at the same time and wanted to turn left off the state road at the junction to the hamlet of Habichau. This resulted in a frontal collision with the oncoming motorcyclist.
Rescue measures initiated immediately were unsuccessful, and the young man died of serious injuries at the scene of the accident. The driver of the truck suffered a severe shock, but was physically unharmed. The motorcycle was destroyed in the collision and the truck suffered considerable property damage. The total damage is estimated at € 11,500. Particularly tragic is the fact that the victim only received the required driving license a few weeks ago and only recently acquired the machine.
The Munich II public prosecutor's office ordered an expert opinion to clarify the course of the accident. The vehicles involved were seized. The state road was completely closed until the evening hours for the duration of the accident recording and rescue work. The Hechenberg volunteer fire brigade took over cleaning the scene of the accident with the support of a specialist company.
