"La Unión", that was the name of the first ship in which the Mayan slaves were transported and that they have found under the waters of the Mexican state of Yucatan.

Researchers assure that this vessel transferred up to 30 slaves a month from Mexico to Cuba between 1855 and 1861, the year in which it sank en route to the island.
