Donald Trump faces a serious threat: According to the report, the Manhattan prosecutor wants to bring the US president to trial.
It's also about Deutsche Bank.
Donald Trump
threatens further trouble apart from the presidential election campaign in 2020.
The Manhattan prosecutor is apparently preparing a
criminal case
against the
US president
.
It is obviously about dubious
financial transactions of
his empire - the
Deutsche Bank
is also involved.
Manhattan / Washington - Donald Trump has been one of Deutsche Bank's largest customers in the United States for around two decades.
A report by
New York Magazine
shows
that during the far-reaching cooperation in which the current US president borrowed massive sums of money, inconsistencies appeared to have arisen
.
Accordingly,
criminal
proceedings could
soon be
initiated
against the
extremely wealthy entrepreneur
with German roots
.
There are three facts in the room that the New York City District Attorney's Office is reported to be dealing with: business document falsification, insurance fraud and tax fraud.
Will US President Donald Trump be tried?
Suspected serious crime
How did the ball get rolling?
Donald Trump's empire has been facing allegations of
tax evasion
and
money
embezzlement
for some time
.
Barack Obama's successor has so far fought with all his might against the publication of his tax returns - and even called in the US Supreme Court.
Finally, in August 2020, the Manhattan prosecutor announced that it was investigating suspected serious criminal behavior within the Trump Organization.
This was followed by a subpoena from Trump's main lender -
Deutsche Bank
- as the
NYMAG
explains.
After examining the documents, the responsible prosecutor Cyrus Vance Jr. is now apparently certain that the evidence for an indictment against Donald Trump is waterproof.
So does the most powerful man in the world have to go to court soon?
A
conviction
would nullify the chances of re-election as US president.
But it won't be that fast.
The question remains whether the charges will be dealt with very quickly after Trump is voted out of office in November.

Prosecutor Vance Jr. has long been dealing with alleged secret payments from Donald Trump, as part of the confidentiality agreements of alleged affairs of the Republican - Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal.
However, Trump still rejects the rumors.
Now the lawyer apparently has even more in hand against the US President and his company, the
Trump Organization
.
Donald Trump's lawyers had sought
immunity for the US president in
vain
, so Cyrus Vance can investigate several offenses against the polarizing head of state.
"Nobody - not even the President - is above the law," the lawyer declared in July following the decision by the Supreme Court.
Donald Trump threatens criminal proceedings - prosecutor is investigating several offenses
According to
NYMag, what
suggests that
Trump's machinations will
lead to charges following the prosecutor's announcement is the fact that Vance Jr. has a reputation for being cautious when it comes to investigations against powerful people.
Therefore, in the Trump case, the evidence must be relatively large that the prosecutor would decide to pursue an
indictment
against the US president.
The
German bank
is one of the largest creditors of Donald Trump, before his election as US president Trump granted by the financial institution large loans.
With reference to banking secrecy, however, documents about
business with Donald Trump
were always withheld until a few weeks ago.
It was only in August that Deutsche Bank agreed to "provide authorized investigations with appropriate information," as the Handelsblatt describes.
During an election campaign appearance in the "Swing State" Ohio, the US President was still in high spirits: Trump even put on a dance to the frenetic cheers of his supporters.
Just a few days after the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Trump wants to quickly appoint a new judge at the US Supreme Court.
The Democrats want to prevent that.
