How long will the closure last? 



The closure will begin today at 2pm and will last for at least two weeks, during which time there will be a tight general closure.

It is estimated that after the general closure, a "breathing closure" will be imposed for another two weeks.

The guidelines prohibit leaving the home for non-essential work.

Who is allowed to work?



Only someone whose workplace has been defined as essential can go out to work.

There is still no final decision on the issue, but in the previous general closure in the essential industries category one could find the financial sector, energy, food and beverage, welfare services, agriculture, toiletries and cleaning, ports and transportation, communications, health services, construction and infrastructure. 

How far is it allowed to leave the house?



Exit from the house is allowed for a distance of only one kilometer (1,000 meters).

In what situations is it allowed to leave the house for more than a kilometer?



There are some situations where a person is allowed to leave the house for more than 1,000 meters, in some cases he is even allowed to use the vehicle.

It is about equipping with essential products or receiving essential services.

Assistance to a person who has difficulty or distress requiring assistance.

Receiving essential medical care or essential social care.

Baptism of a woman in a mikveh.

Transfer of a minor between his or her parents living separately or transfer of a minor for whom the responsible parent is required to go out for a vital need.

Essential animal care.

Leaving the workplace is essential.

Arriving at the Knesset.

Arriving at legal proceedings.

blood donation.

Attendance at the funeral of a close family member, as well as a grandchild, uncle or aunt.

Departure from one fixed place to another fixed place.

Exit for sports activities not using a motor vehicle.

Will writers and pharmacies remain open?



Yes, supermarkets and pharmacies will continue to operate as usual.

Although retail chains are already reporting an onslaught of food, stores that sell food will remain open and their activity is not expected to be limited.

Most likely the restaurants will continue to work with deliveries only.

How will the synagogues operate?



During the entire closure period, the synagogues will remain closed, and prayer will only be allowed in an open area in groups of up to 20 people in various complexes with a distance of two meters between the worshiper.

The guidelines do not include Yom Kippur, so prayer will be allowed in a synagogue in groups of up to 25 worshipers with a ratio of 4 square meters per worshiper.

Is it possible to demonstrate?



It was decided that it would be possible to demonstrate up to a distance of one kilometer from the house in a group of up to 20 people.

The Attorney General clarified that this is also the case with regard to the demonstrations in Balfour in front of the Prime Minister's Residence during the entire closure period.

In the corona routine, on non-quarantine days, the ombudsman made it clear that there would be more than 2,000 demonstrations in Balfour.

Is it possible to visit other homes?



No.

The purpose is to interrupt the chain of infection, so it is forbidden to move to another house, except in exceptional cases, such as assisting a person and stocking up on food.

How will public transportation work? 



Public transportation will be significantly reduced.

It is not yet known which lines will operate and what their frequency will be. 

Is it possible to fly abroad? 



According to the government's plan, Ben Gurion Airport is expected to be closed to outbound flights during the days of the closure.

It is estimated that at least next week will operate normally. 

Is it allowed to go to playgrounds and parks?



Yes, as long as they are within a mile of the place of residence and as long as there is no crowd.

Are there any further changes to the guidelines?
