At about 5:30 in the morning on Friday (25th), the fresh water pipe of Dong Fai Garden at No.17 Puren Street, Sheung Wan, and its outer wall facing the ground of Po Hing Fong suddenly burst. A water column over 10 meters high was sprayed out on the spot, except for water splashes on the building. In addition, a large amount of water also poured down the stairs, forming a "torrent", a spectacle, and alarming many residents to report the case.

After receiving the report, the police notified the Water Supplies Department to send personnel to turn off the water switch and make rush repairs.
