The current Legislative Council has been postponed for another year, and the Democratic Party has earlier commissioned the Hong Kong Institute of Public Opinion to conduct a poll on whether or not Parliament will stay.
The poll was launched on the 21st of this month for a week.
Zhong Tingyao, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Institute of Public Opinion, said on Twitter last night (24th) that a total of 1,441 successful interviews were completed in three days, accounting for 60% of the total target sample. All interviews are expected to be completed on or before September 28. A press conference will be held on Wednesday to announce the results of the polls.
Zhong Tingyao said earlier that the poll target was finally set at 2,400, and more than half of it has been completed. It is believed that the survey will be completed on or before next Monday.
In the polls, half of the questions centered on whether to support the wording of "remaining for any year", and the other half was whether to support "resign or leave" Parliament. The polls will not publish any interim reports, and the data will be blocked. The results will be After the poll is over, the institute and the client will announce it.
The question of whether or not the democrats will stay in the next year has caused social controversy. Democratic congressmen announced earlier this month that they will decide whether to leave or leave according to the majority of the polls. In more than 2,000 samples, only the opinions of supporters of participating members will be consulted.
The Democratic Party, the Civic Party, the parliamentary front Mao Mengjing, the Labor Party Zhang Chaoxiong, and the social welfare member Shao Jiazhen, and other 15 pro-democracy members, all expressed that they would obey the results of the polls as a basis for leaving.
