A third-level fire broke out at Wing Shui House, Lek Yuen Estate, Sha Tin yesterday (24th), causing 1 death and 5 injuries.
When the police accounted for the case, the 37-year-old man was suffering from depression and mania for 8 years. He had a dispute with his mother yesterday morning. After that, he and his grandmother were left in the house. In the afternoon he injured his grandmother and neighbors with a cooking wok. Hearing the sound of knocking on wood and cracking glass, a fire broke out soon after.
At about 11 o'clock this morning, the parents of the deceased went to the Fushan public mortuary to go through the formalities for corpse recognition. After staying for a period of time, the two walked out of the mortuary and left.
The mother of the deceased looked sad, covered her face and wept bitterly. She did not answer reporters' questions during the whole process, nor did she explain why she had disputed with her son before the fire.
In the fire alarm, three of the five injured were still in hospital for treatment. Among them, the 77-year-old man named Zhang was serious.

The third-level fire in Lek Yuen Village was reported to the authorities at about 4:03 pm, and the fire was put out at about 5.41 pm.
The fire caused 1 death and 5 injuries. The injured included 2 men and 3 women, 4 of them inhaled heavy smoke, and the remaining 1 was the grandmother named Liang (94) who was injured by the deceased; 300 residents needed to be evacuated, one of them One poodle also died.
According to the Hospital Authority, three of the five injured are still in hospital this morning (25th). Among them, the 77-year-old man named Zhang is serious.
It is known that the 37-year-old man died with his parents and grandmother, a family of 4 living in a unit on the 5th floor of Rongrui Building; the deceased came to Hong Kong from the Mainland for 2 years and was unemployed. He suffered from depression and mania for about 8 years before his death. Doctors and government doctors seek medical treatment.
His parents came to Hong Kong from the Mainland for 6 years and 4 years respectively; as for his grandmother, they have lived in the above address for more than 20 years.

Yesterday (24th) morning, the deceased male had a dispute with his mother. His mother left the residence after the incident, leaving only the deceased and grandmother.
At about 3:30 in the afternoon, the deceased also quarreled with his grandmother and attacked with a cooking wok. The grandmother's foot had 4 cm long scars. She immediately went to the underground lobby to ask for help and report the crime.
Fifteen minutes later, a neighbor heard the sound of knocking wood and glass from the involved unit; and at about 4 pm, heavy smoke emerged from the involved unit, and a report from the residents was received 3 minutes later.
