US President Donald Trump chose Amy Coney Barrett to fill the vacancy on the country's Supreme Court, following the death of Justice Ruth Bader.
Amy Coney Barrett is a 48-year-old conservative former college faculty who is currently a federal judge for the Seventh District on the Court of Appeals.
If confirmed by the Senate, Barret would be the fifth woman to serve as a judge in the history of the United States Supreme Court.
