On Saturday morning, an accident on the B 388 near Unterstrogn (Bockhorn municipality) went off relatively lightly.
When numerous rescue workers arrived, the main road was like a field of rubble.
Bockhorn - Two cars collided head-on at around 10 a.m., reported the Erdingen police.
A 38-year-old from Neufahrn (Freising district) had accelerated his Ford Mustang so hard at the exit of the town in the direction of Taufkirchen that the rear broke out.
The sports car skidded into the oncoming traffic and collided there with the VW Golf of a 25-year-old from Viechtach, who was heading towards Erding.
All three inmates were only slightly injured and were taken to the Erding Clinic.
The property damage amounts to 43,000 euros.
The fire brigades Erding, Bockhorn, Grünbach and Kirchasch as well as the rescue service with several vehicles were in action.
The Erdinger fire brigade had moved out to an assisted living facility on Dorfener Strasse just two hours earlier.
However, the staff had already been able to extinguish the small fire.
