A new non-profit association is starting up in Freising: IsarHeazal.
They help the homeless and the needy.
Freising - He is a police officer at the airport and a dog handler.

And this motto came back to the 37-year-old about two years ago.
The result: the association "IsarHeazal - helping hands for four and two-legged friends".

In action for single parents
At the weekend they wanted to invite those in need to a barbecue on Johann-Braun-Straße in Freising.
But Corona and the weather thwarted the project.
It was not the first relief operation that the women and men of IsarHeazal would have put on their feet.
Because for a year and a half it has been the goal of IsarHeazal to help the needy and homeless “with and without animals”, as Schricker says.
A single father with several children was helped to find an apartment, he was helped to set up a kitchen, the same thing with a single mother.
They provide food for those in need (the “Heurige” cooks for 15 people every Sunday), they help with dealing with authorities - and much more.
Or you can cover the cost of taxi rides for a new mother who wants to visit her baby at the Landshut children's clinic but doesn't have a car.
An “all-round package” is what initiator Schricker calls what the IsarHeazal do.
Sometimes you buy animal feed for 200 euros and drive it all to Landshut to the local Berber aid (homeless aid).
Basically, so Schricker in an interview with the FT, the focus is of course on the Freising district.

Now they are hoping for donations
So far, the offers of help have been financed out of private pockets; donations in kind came from friends and acquaintances with whom a WhatsApp group was founded.
They recently became a registered association and are now hoping for donations.
Because it is not yet well known, IsarHeazal can currently only be found on Facebook, a homepage is in the making, a flyer campaign is planned.
Membership applications are also currently being prepared, with Schricker anticipating 20 to 30 members initially.
For the year 2021, when the corona crisis is hopefully over, there are already some actions planned, Schricker reveals, to collect donations for those in need.
Networking with other aid organizations and associations in the district is important to him in the future.
Already now, he says, the cooperation is slowly starting.
And that is important, because up to now you have only found out about emergencies more or less verbally through acquaintances and a few corners.
