The Constitution Committee, headed by MK Yaakov Asher (Torah Judaism), will convene tomorrow (Tuesday) at 9:30 to vote on an amendment to the law restricting demonstrations in the public space during a general closure. The coalition planned to advance the legislation for final approval last Friday, but due to thousands of reservations submitted by the opposition, and attempts to delay on the part of the Likud, the legislation off the agenda and it was decided to progress tomorrow, second and third reading.

as reported in Walla NEWS, Netanyahu tried over the weekend to promote emergency regulations restricting demonstrations without requiring the approval of the Knesset. However, blue and white announced that they would oppose it, and to Spokesman Avichai Mandelblit's position was added, announcing that this was an "unconstitutional" move.

Simultaneously with the discussion in the Constitution Committee, convoys of vehicles are expected to leave for Jerusalem from various centers throughout the country.

This, "in protest of the attempt of the Prime Minister and his partners Bnei Gantz and Gabi Ashkenazi to prevent through the Dragon Corona Law the demonstrations against him in Balfour."

The convoy is expected to surround the Knesset and the Government Quarter with horns, poplars and flags as a sign of protest during the Constitution Committee meeting.

"Netanyahu is doing everything he can to prevent the demonstrations in Balfour because they expose the lies he is trying to hide, and the fact that he is responsible for the serious corona failure," organizers said.

"We will not stand aside when the Knesset enacts an anti-democratic law in the service of the prime minister. We will go up to Jerusalem and fight for freedom and equality."

Demonstrators added: "Democracies do not die in one day - they are gradually dying by power-hungry politicians who have lost public confidence and want to silence criticism of them."

The Likud began promoting the restriction of demonstrations in emergency regulations after failing to pass in time the amendment to the Corona Powers Act, which would allow the government to declare a "special state of emergency" and restrict gatherings for demonstrations and prayers.

The Minister of Health announced last Friday that he would bring to the government's approval emergency regulations that would have the power to restrict gatherings until the enactment of the law in the Knesset next week.
