Yerevan-Sana

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called on the international community to condemn the Azerbaijani attack and the Turkish regime on the Nagorno Karabakh region and to leave the Turkish military presence from the southern Caucasus, at a time when the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev confirmed his country's adherence to the negotiations on the region.

"The international community must firmly condemn the aggressive actions and aggression of Azerbaijan and demand that Turkey come out of this region in general, because Turkey's military presence in the southern Caucasus does not bode well," Pashinyan said in the 60-minute program broadcast by Russian TV channel Russia 1.

Pashinyan confirmed that the Turkish regime is involved in the conflict in the region through the presence of prominent Turkish military experts in Azerbaijan to direct the military operations, indicating that this regime is looking for a reason to bring its forces to the Azerbaijani Nakhchivan enclave on the borders with Turkey, Armenia and Iran, pointing to information indicating the presence of some army units. The Turkish is there.

The Prime Minister of Armenia pointed out that "the exacerbation of the conflict in Karabakh is a threat to the existence of the Armenian people and a war against them, and forced us to use the right to self-defense against this aggression."

In the context, Russia Today revealed that parts of the missiles launched by the Azerbaijani army at villages in the Nagorno-Karabakh region have inscriptions in Hebrew and said that “the missile fragments that fell on the villages indicate that the Azerbaijani army is using a weapon made by Israel and is widely used in the battle.” .

For his part, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, announced his country's adherence to negotiations on the Karabakh issue, while the Armenian side opposes these steps, indicating that the heads of the OSCE Minsk Group concerned with the settlement can confirm this.

"During the last two years we have repeatedly declared that we adhere to the principles of the settlement that have been elaborated over the years, but we have repeatedly declared our adherence to the negotiation formula," Aliyev said on the 60-minute program broadcast on Russia 1 channel.

Aliyev denied that the Turkish regime is a party to the ongoing conflict with Armenia in the Karabakh region.

The situation in the Nagorno Karabakh region witnessed a sudden military escalation last Sunday, at a time when the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides exchanged accusations about the reasons for the escalation. These developments came two months after a similar escalation in the border region between Armenia and Azerbaijan in mid-July, where the two sides exchanged accusations of causing it.
