Nicolas Zepeda, the Chilean suspected of having killed his Japanese ex-girlfriend Narumi Kurosaki in 2016 in Besançon, arrived at around 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday at the judicial court of the city of Bisont to be heard again by an investigating judge, noted the 'AFP.

The 29-year-old, indicted for murder and remanded in July after being extradited from Chile, must be questioned on the merits of the case, a judicial source said.

Heard for the first time by judge Marjolaine Poinsard on July 25, on his arrival on French soil, Nicolas Zepeda had once again proclaimed his innocence.

I have never committed violence,
" he then declared in Spanish during the hearing before the judge of freedoms and detention, which ended with his imprisonment.
During this hearing, his lawyer, Me Jacqueline Laffont, announced that Nicolas Zepeda would respond "
in due time
" to the elements collected by the investigators.

He will perhaps finally be able to respond to certain indications of this file,

presumed innocent
”.

never had the slightest problem with the law and never had a problem of violence

Narumi Kurosaki's family, for their part, hope that the suspect reveals where their daughter's remains are.
According to the prosecutor of Besançon Étienne Manteaux, the elements collected by the investigators of the judicial police are "
overwhelming
" for Mr. Zepeda.
The two young people met in 2014 in Japan, where he was studying.
Nicolas Zepeda had fallen in love with the student.
But shortly before Narumi's disappearance, they had distanced themselves and the Japanese student had started a new relationship, arousing the Chilean's jealousy.
On the evening of December 4, 2016, they returned together to Narumi's accommodation on the university campus of Besançon.
That night, several students heard "
screams of terror, screams
".
Zepeda, in a letter sent to the Chilean authorities, had recounted going to see Narumi in Besançon at the beginning of December 2016. He said he had spent part of the night from December 4 to 5 with her, but then said he left alone.
